Delivered in Adelaide, the Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) course is a nationally recognised qualification that will prepare you to enter the disability and personal care sector. This is a growth industry with extremely high employment outcomes.
It can also provide a pathway to further tertiary qualifications and is useful for formalising your qualifications if you already work in the industry.

The Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) provides you with the skills and knowledge to support and care for people with disabilities in a community or residential setting.
The disability course provides you with practical skills, such as manual handling, assisting with movement and equipment management. It also develops communication skills and provides the emotional and psychological preparation required for the work.
Core units will provide a solid grounding in healthy body systems, high-level personal care, communication, independence and wellbeing, working with diverse people and safe, legal and ethical work practices.
Elective units will prepare you to assist with movement, empower people with disabilities, assist with community participation and social inclusion and provide first aid.
Our teaching approach and training materials will prepare you to enter the industry and provide a thorough appreciation of the importance of your work and respect for the people in your care.
Enrolment in the Certificate III in Individual Support may be contingent on a DHS police check (including working with children).
Government support for eligible students is available through the SA Government’s Skills SA program.
The course includes a minimum of 120 hours of industry placement organised by Allstaff.
Description
This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to disability.
Course Delivery
Enrolments are ongoing. Training is conducted at our training centre located in the Adelaide CBD. The First Aid unit is delivered by First Aid Pro (RTO 40407).
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must complete a minimum of 120 hours of work placement.
