The Certificate III in Individual Support (delivered in Adelaide) is a nationally recognised qualification that prepares you for work in the aged care, home and community care, and disability care sectors.
The proportion of elderly people in Australia will increase dramatically over the next few decades. This means that there will be huge demand for qualified and experienced aged care and disability care workers.
The Certificate III in Individual Support provides an entry-level qualification for this rapidly expanding industry. It’s a general qualification designed to provide you with the skills and experience to deliver support to people who may require assistance due to ageing, disability or other reasons.
The course allows for a choice of three specialisations: aged care, disability, and home & community care. It can be used as a pathway to further tertiary qualifications including nursing and social work. The course can also be used to formalise your qualifications if you’re already working in the industry.
Designed in consultation with industry, the Certificate III in Individual Support includes theoretical components, hands-on learning and a minimum of 120 hours of industry experience.
The course is delivered in a supportive education environment by a Registered Training Organisation in Adelaide. In addition to the general Certificate III in Individual Support, Allstaff Training also provides the option to specialise in either aged care or disability through our aged care courses and disability courses.
